Singaraja
with its diverse mix of culture and rich historical background
was once the capital of Bali and the main gateway for trading
on the Island. Despite being well away from the more popular
tourist areas of Bali, Singaraja is highly recommended as
one of the areas in Bali to visit as it recall what Bali use
to be like in the past years. Not as developed as some of
the more frequented and more popular areas of Bali but have
just as much to offer in terms of tourist attractions. Very
well known area for dolphin watching, snorkeling and other
water activities, the Yeh Panas (hot springs) and the Air
Sanih (natural fresh water pool) are within the locality.
A number of star rated hotels, villas, home-stay and a wide
selection of restaurants and bars have opened over the years
to accommodate visitors. The almost three hours drive to Singaraja
is very scenic and in it self an attraction.
